Your tires should be set to the manufacturer specified amount which can be found on the vehicle placard on the driver’s door jamb. This will give you the best ride and fuel efficiency.

Any time your wheels are removed and re-installed on the vehicle, you should have them retorqued within 100 km. Stop by any Denray Tire to have this done, no appointment required.

All-Season and All-Weather tires are very different. All-Weather tires have the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMS) meaning it passes the criteria for severe winter service and will give much better traction in the winter. They are designed to be run year-round but still give better traction for winter. All-Season tires are not rated for winter and below 7 degrees Celsius the rubber compound will become very hard, becoming very slippery. They are good as summer tires but are not designed for Canadian winters.

If your TPMS light was not on before you replaced your tires, you will not need them when you do replace your tires. TPMS sensors are part of the valve stem (or built into the hub on some models) and are battery operated and only need replacement when they fail or are damaged.

If you are feeling a vibration or shake while driving, particularly at highway speeds, there’s a good chance you may need your tires balanced. Weights coming off, mud build up in wheels, and abnormal wear are all ways that can knock out the balance.
